On a fresh installed OS or after updates the following error message can appear after a system restart:
Could not load file or assembly, ‚MOM.Implementation, Version 2.0.3452.36871, Cultute=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e‘ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Here’s how I fixed it 2 years ago…
The error message above usually points to a problem with an ATI graphics card and the Microsoft .NET Framework. The Catalyst Control Center needs a specific version of this framework; this was my case!
It may help to follow these instructions:
- deinstall Catalyst Control Center
- deinstall Hydravision (if installed)
- restart your system
- install the latest .NET Framework
- install Catalyst Control Center
Bert von der Leer found a solution by visiting the AMD page and choosing Automatically Detect and Install on the drivers site.
These steps worked on a system with a built-in „ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470“ running Windows 7.
